Details of LSZH Cable

I. Information Related to the Product Itself

(I) Specification Parameters

As a 3-phase 5-Core Cable, LSZH Cable covers three specifications: 2.5mm², 4mm², and 6mm². Each specification parameter is precisely adapted to different power transmission needs, providing strong support for stable power supply.
Current-carrying capacity is one of its core parameters. In a standard environment (ambient temperature 25°C, laid in the air), the current-carrying capacity of 2.5mm² cable is about 16-25A; that of 4mm² cable can reach 25-32A; and that of 6mm² cable can reach 32-40A. In high-temperature environments (such as workshops with dense equipment in summer) or when laid through pipes, the current-carrying capacity will decrease, and a correction factor of 0.8-0.9 is usually required.
The outer diameter of the cable increases with the increase of specifications. The outer diameter of 2.5mm² cable is about 12-14mm; that of 4mm² cable is about 14-16mm; that of 6mm² cable is about 16-18mm. Such outer diameter size is convenient for laying in walls, pipes and other spaces. Its rated voltage is 0.6/1kV, which can meet the power transmission needs of 3-phase circuits. At the same time, the grounding resistance of the grounding core is strictly controlled below 4Ω, which meets safety standards.
In addition, the DC resistance of Copper Conductors has clear standards. At 20°C, the DC resistance per kilometer of 2.5mm² cable is not more than 7.41Ω; that of 4mm² cable is not more than 4.61Ω; that of 6mm² cable is not more than 3.08Ω, which effectively reduces transmission loss.

With its own performance advantages, LSZH cable shows distinct characteristic uses in various scenarios, accurately matching different power needs.
2.5mm² cable is suitable for home and small office places. In homes, it can connect sockets in living rooms and bedrooms to supply power to home appliances such as TVs, refrigerators, and air conditioners, and also meet the power needs of lighting systems. In small offices, it can provide stable power for equipment such as computers, printers, and water dispensers, and its current-carrying capacity is sufficient to support the simultaneous operation of these equipment.
4mm² cable is suitable for small industrial equipment. Small machine tools (such as bench milling machines) and material conveyors in workshops have moderate power, and this specification of cable can provide stable power for them. Packaging machinery and sealing machines in small processing plants also rely on 4mm² cables to transmit power, ensuring smooth production processes. In addition, for counter lighting and cash register equipment in small shopping malls, choosing this specification of cable can ensure stable power supply.
6mm² cable can meet the power supply needs of medium-sized motors. Medium-sized water pumps, ventilators and other motor equipment in factories have large currents during startup and operation, and 6mm² cable can easily handle this. Lifting equipment (such as small electric hoists) in medium-sized warehouses needs continuous power support during work, and this specification of cable can provide reliable guarantee. At the same time, it is also suitable for the main distribution branch lines of small office buildings to distribute power to various areas.
Due to its LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) characteristic, this cable has significant advantages in crowded places with high safety requirements. For power distribution lines in hospital wards and operating rooms, using this cable can reduce the generation of smoke and toxic gases in unexpected situations, ensuring the safety of doctors and patients; in areas such as shopping mall corridors and elevator halls, the safety performance of the cable can reduce the risk of fire; the power supply lines of subway stations also reduce the harm in accidents due to this characteristic.

(III) Material and Style

In terms of material selection and style design, LSZH cable fully combines power transmission needs and safety standards, achieving the unity of performance and practicality.
In terms of materials, the conductor is made of high-purity copper with a purity of more than 99.9%. High-purity copper has excellent conductivity, can efficiently transmit current, reduce energy loss, and has good ductility, which is not easy to break during laying and is convenient for construction.
The insulation layer uses XLPE (cross-linked polyethylene) material, which has excellent temperature resistance. The long-term working temperature can reach 90°C, and it can withstand higher temperatures during short-term overload without being easy to age. It has strong insulation performance, can effectively isolate the current between cores, ensure the safety of power transmission, and has good chemical stability, which is not easy to be eroded by environmental factors.
The sheath is made of LDPE (low-density polyethylene) material and has LSZH characteristics. This kind of sheath produces little smoke when burned and releases no toxic gases, which can buy time for personnel evacuation and rescue. At the same time, the LDPE sheath has moderate mechanical strength, strong impact resistance and wear resistance, which can protect the internal cores from external damage. It also has certain corrosion resistance and can adapt to various environments.
In terms of style, it is a 3-phase 5-core design. The 5 Cores are 3 phase wires, 1 neutral wire and 1 grounding core respectively. The grounding core is yellow-green, which is convenient for quick identification and wiring. The overall shape of the cable is cylindrical with a smooth surface, and the color is mostly black or gray, which is resistant to dirt and can blend with the surrounding environment. The surface is clearly printed with marks such as model, specification, rated voltage, and manufacturer, which is convenient for construction and later maintenance.

(IV) Production Process

The production process of LSZH cable focuses on performance and safety requirements, and each process is strictly controlled to ensure product quality.
The first step is the production of Copper Conductors. High-quality copper rods are selected and drawn into Copper Wires of the required diameter through a wire drawing machine. During the wire drawing process, the speed and die precision are controlled to ensure uniform diameter of the copper wires. Subsequently, the copper wires are stranded to form conductors. During stranding, they are arranged closely to enhance the mechanical strength and conductivity of the conductors.
Next is insulation extrusion. XLPE material is heated and melted in an extruder, and evenly coated on the surface of the copper conductor through a mold to form an insulation layer. During extrusion, the temperature is controlled at 120-150°C to ensure that the insulation layer has a uniform thickness (the insulation layer thickness of 2.5mm² cable is not less than 0.8mm, that of 4mm² is not less than 1.0mm, and that of 6mm² is not less than 1.2mm), and the surface is smooth without bubbles. After that, cross-linking treatment is carried out to make XLPE molecules form a network structure, improving insulation performance.
Then comes the cabling process. The 5 Insulated Cores are stranded in a certain stranding way, and filling materials are added to make the cable round. Then, a wrapping tape is wrapped to enhance structural stability and prevent the cores from loosening.
Sheath extrusion is a key link. LDPE material with LSZH characteristics is heated and melted in an extruder and evenly coated on the outside of the cabled core. During extrusion, the temperature and speed are well controlled to ensure uniform thickness of the sheath and close combination with the internal structure. To ensure LSZH characteristics, it is necessary to strictly control the material ratio and extrusion process parameters.
During the production process, a number of tests are required, including insulation and sheath thickness, conductor resistance, and voltage resistance performance. After passing the tests, marks are printed on the surface, and then the cable is cut and wound.

II. General Product Information

(I) Packaging

The packaging of LSZH cable aims to protect the cable and facilitate transportation and storage, and different methods are adopted according to specifications and lengths.
Long-length cables (100 meters and above) are packaged with wooden reels. The wooden reels are made of solid wood with strong load-bearing capacity. The cables are neatly wound on them, and the outer layer is wrapped with plastic film to prevent moisture and dust. There are baffles on both sides of the wooden reels to prevent the cables from slipping, and the reels are marked with model, specification, length and other information.
Short-length cables (10-50 meters) are packaged in cartons. The cartons are made of high-strength corrugated paper, and foam or soft materials are placed inside to fix the cables to avoid collision and wear during transportation. The surface of the carton is printed with product information and marks such as "Handle with Care" and "Moisture-proof".
The packaging materials are all environmentally friendly and recyclable, and the packaging is firm and can withstand bumps and squeezes during transportation and handling.

(II) Transportation

For cable transportation, appropriate methods should be selected according to distance and quantity, and protective measures should be taken.
Trucks are used for short-distance transportation (within the city), which can directly reach the destination and reduce handling. For long-distance transportation, railways or logistics lines are chosen, which are suitable for large quantities of transportation and have good stability.
During transportation, cables packaged with wooden reels should be placed horizontally and fixed with steel wire ropes to prevent shaking. When transporting in rainy days, the cables should be covered with rainproof cloth to avoid moisture; in high-temperature weather, direct sunlight should be avoided, and sunshade treatment can be done.
Special equipment such as forklifts are used for loading and unloading, and dragging is strictly prohibited. During handling, take it lightly to protect the cable and packaging from damage.

(III) Shipment

The shipment process is standardized and orderly to ensure that the cables are delivered in a timely and accurate manner.
Order confirmation: After receiving the order, the sales staff checks the model, specification, quantity, delivery address and other information with the customer, and confirms the payment status.
Stock preparation: Warehouse staff retrieve cables from the inventory according to the order and check whether the packaging and marks are intact. If the inventory is insufficient, notify the production department to arrange production to ensure that the goods are prepared on time.
Outgoing inspection: Quality inspectors conduct random inspections on the cables, including appearance and insulation thickness. Only qualified cables can be delivered out of the warehouse, and a quality report is issued.
Arranging transportation: Select the transportation method according to the delivery address and quantity, and inform the customer of transportation information and estimated arrival time.
Cargo tracking: After shipment, track the transportation status and feed back to the customer in a timely manner. If there are delays and other abnormalities, coordinate and solve them immediately.

(IV) Samples

To facilitate customers to understand the product, convenient sample services are provided.
Sample application: Customers can apply by phone, email, etc., stating the required model, specification and receiving information.
Sample preparation: Samples are prepared within 1-2 working days, with a length of 1-2 meters, cut from qualified products to ensure that the quality is consistent with that of bulk products. The samples are marked with relevant information and accompanied by instructions.
Sample delivery: Samples are sent by express and packaged with simple protection. Samples are free, and the express fee is borne by the customer.
Sample tracking: After sending the samples, inform the customer of the express waybill number. If the customer has any questions after receiving the samples, the technical staff will answer them within 24 hours.

(V) After-sales Service

Perfect after-sales service provides guarantee for customers, making them worry-free during use.
Quality assurance: The product has a 1-year warranty period, starting from the date of receipt. Within the warranty period, if there are problems due to the product's own quality (such as insulation layer damage, sheath cracking), customers can apply for after-sales service with the purchase certificate. After verification, free replacement or repair will be provided.
Technical support: A professional technical team provides full support. During selection, recommend appropriate specifications according to equipment power and environment; during laying, guide installation methods (such as bending radius, fixing method); during use, answer questions about maintenance and troubleshooting, and provide on-site guidance if necessary.
Maintenance service: For faults beyond the warranty period or caused by human factors, maintenance services are provided. Before maintenance, detect the cause of the fault, inform the cost and time, and conduct performance tests after maintenance.
Regular return visits: Return visits are made 1 month, 3 months and 6 months after receipt to understand the use situation, collect opinions, and provide maintenance knowledge (such as avoiding contact with corrosive substances and regularly checking grounding conditions) to extend the service life of the cable.
