  • 10mm² Cable: It consists of 7 strands of 1.35mm Flexible Copper Wires. The DC resistance at 20℃ is ≤1.83Ω/km, and the current-carrying capacity in air is 57A. This specification is suitable for scenarios with higher power requirements in photovoltaic systems.

  • 16mm² Cable: Made up of 7 strands of 1.70mm Flexible Copper Wires. The DC resistance at 20℃ is ≤1.15Ω/km, and the current-carrying capacity in air reaches 74A, making it ideal for large-scale photovoltaic power transmission.

(4) Production Process
  1. Conductor Stranding

First, high-purity oxygen-free copper is drawn into copper wires of the required diameter through a wire drawing machine. During the wire drawing process, strict control of drawing speed and lubrication conditions ensures the surface of the copper wire is smooth and free of defects. Then, the copper wires are stranded into conductors according to the specified number of strands and stranding pitch. The stranding pitch is precisely controlled between 12-18 times the conductor diameter, which can reduce the high-frequency skin effect loss and improve the power transmission efficiency of the photovoltaic system by 3%-5%. The stranding process uses advanced stranding equipment to ensure that the strands are evenly stressed and tightly combined, enhancing the mechanical strength and flexibility of the conductor.
  1. Insulation Extrusion

The insulation material (weather-resistant PVC for H05V-K type and temperature-resistant PVC for H07V-K type) is added to the extruder. The material is heated and melted in the extruder, and then evenly extruded and coated on the surface of the conductor through a mold. During the extrusion process, parameters such as temperature, pressure, and extrusion speed are strictly controlled to ensure that the insulation layer has uniform thickness, smooth surface, and no bubbles, pinholes, or other defects. After extrusion, the cable is cooled by water to shape the insulation layer, ensuring its dimensional stability.
  1. Sheath Extrusion

After the insulation layer is formed, the cable enters the sheath extrusion process. The sheath material (UV-resistant PVC for H05V-K type and PVC with carbon black additives for H07V-K type) is melted in the extruder and extruded onto the surface of the insulation layer. The extrusion parameters are adjusted according to the type and specification of the cable to ensure that the sheath layer is tightly combined with the insulation layer, with uniform thickness and no delamination. The sheath layer after extrusion is also cooled by water to fix its shape.
  1. Irradiation Cross-Linking

For some high-Performance Cables, especially H07V-K type, an irradiation cross-linking process is adopted. The cable is irradiated with electron beams or gamma rays, which makes the molecular chains of the insulation and sheath materials form a three-dimensional network structure, improving the thermal stability, mechanical strength, and aging resistance of the materials. The cross-linking degree is strictly controlled to ensure that the cable has excellent performance while maintaining good flexibility.
  1. Testing and Inspection

During the production process, various tests and inspections are carried out on the cable. This includes testing the conductor's DC resistance, insulation resistance, withstand voltage performance, and the sheath's thickness, tensile strength, elongation at break, and aging resistance. After production, the finished cable undergoes a comprehensive performance test to ensure that all indicators meet the relevant standards and design requirements. Only qualified products are allowed to leave the factory.

(1) Packaging
  1. Cable Coiling

The cables are coiled on wooden or plastic reels according to their length. For 6mm² and 10mm² cables with a length of 100m or 200m, plastic reels are usually used, which are lightweight and convenient for manual handling. For 16mm² cables and longer lengths (such as 500m), wooden reels are used, which have higher strength and can withstand the weight of the cable. The reels are designed with flanges on both sides to prevent the cable from falling off during storage and transportation.
  1. Protection Measures

The surface of the coiled cable is wrapped with a layer of plastic film to prevent dust, moisture, and dirt from adhering to the cable surface. For H07V-K type cables and those used in special environments, an additional layer of waterproof cloth is wrapped to enhance the waterproof and moisture-proof effect.   1. Transportation Methods

  • Railway Transportation: For long-distance transportation, railway freight is chosen, which has the advantages of large capacity and stable transportation. The reels are loaded into railway containers, and appropriate fixing measures are taken to ensure safety.

  • Sea Transportation: For export products, sea transportation is used. The reels are placed in containers, and moisture-proof and rust-proof treatments are carried out on the reels and cables to prevent damage caused by seawater and humid environments during transportation.

  1. Transportation Precautions

  • During loading and unloading, mechanical equipment such as cranes or forklifts should be used, and violent lifting and dropping are prohibited to avoid damaging the reels and cables.

  • The cables should be protected from direct sunlight, rain, and snow during transportation. If transported in open vehicles, they should be covered with waterproof cloth.
